Hello and HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!
WOW, it has been way too long once again since my last blog. I will try to keep this one short. Let’s see where did we leave off? Well, how about I just tell you what I remember. Yep, this is going to be really short 🙂 About volleyball we are 2-2 in the league. Bye the way, we won our opening match played on my mother-in-law’s birthday. Our floor captain (ex-floor captain) made a financial decision to go to compete in Japan. Who could blame her? Great for her but not so great for our team. Well, just another challenge to overcome. She’ll be playing for Hisamitsu, so V-League followers let me know how she is doing. We have seven days until our next league match, which will be a home match and televised. Oh yes, MERRY CHRISTMAS…. I had a wonderful time at home with my family. Although I missed having my sister’s gumbo! We kept putting off going to get the ingredient and here I am back in Brazil while they chewed down! One of the gifts I bought for my nephew Stefan (age 3) was a drum set which came complete with a tambourine, harmonica and rattle shaky thingy. While Stefan beat the drum asking his mom, “Hit it hard mommy?” I tried to go to church with the tambourine. There is a reason I never had it while in church. We had fun but drove my mom crazy. Back to the New Year… My husband and I drove from Sao Paulo to Macae and back to Rio to enjoy the wet and chilly celebration at Copacabana. After driving like mad from Macae back to Rio, pleading with the Police to let us park the car where we stopped, and flagging down a taxi to take us to Copacabana: we arrived right on time for the fireworks. And what a show! Out on the water were four or five ships exploding with fireworks. The show must have lasted almost a half hour even in the rain…
Well, that’s it in a flash, I hope to do better posting blogs. Give me some feed back for encouragement.
Many blessings this 2007
Danielle
GO CIMED MACAE!
Belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!! How is married life treating you? I am very sorry you missed the gumbo. I was craving one so bad last week that I broke down and made one! Well, I hope life is treating you fantastically! God Bless.
